In the Tabernacle that God instructed Moses and the children of Israel to build there was a section called the Holy of Holies. Into this room the high priest was to enter once a year and offer a lamb that was unblemished to God for the sins of the people. The only way in was through a veil that acted a a door into the presence of God. Jesus was veiled in human flesh and came down to offer Himself as sacrifice for our sins.
